Neos Pyrgos is located in North Evia and is built along a vast and beautiful sandy beach. It is a traditional fishing village, created by refugees from Constantinople. It is 1 kilometer from the historic city of Oreos, just 9 kilometers from the Baths of Edipsos with its famous thermal springs, while the city of Istiaia is only 5 kilometers away.

Neos Pyrgos is a unique tourist destination, where the blue of the sea is perfectly combined with the imposing presence of the mountain. On the beach you will also find all kinds of taverns, ouzo bars and restaurants with traditional cuisine, and mainly fresh fish and seafood for which the area is famous.

West of Neos Pyrgos is Nisiotissa, a small, beautiful natural beach. There, a few dozen meters from the shore, is a small rocky islet on which the ruins of a Medieval Tower are preserved.
In the area of ​​Neos Pyrgos you will find a fig production cooperative where you can taste wonderful and genuine local products such as fig jam.

A particular point of interest in the area is the Taurus of Oreos. This is an exquisite massive sculpture, which is currently exhibited in a glass dome behind the temple of Sotiros, near the port of Oreos and within walking distance of Neos Pyrgos.

Every summer, the Municipality and local associations organize several cultural events and entertainment evenings. The highlight is the three-day festival during the feast of the Virgin Mary on August 15th.
